Grand Hotel Beatrix - Den Helder

Perfectly clean place with excellent staff and amazing view over the bay. Had well furnished and generous sized room and a very good stay on a business trip. - Marvellous location right by the sea and the lighthouse of Huisduinen.

Everything was really good, so were magnificent views of the sea. Its location in Den Helder was excellent and unbeatable, adjacent to two excellent restaurants-one for fantastic burgers and grills the other for more fine dining with fantastic views as well as the town center.

Location, staff, food!

Layout/stairs to rooms.....very hard with luggage! Need some way to get bags to rooms that have several steps to get to them! Rooms were too dark. Not enough light to see to do many things in the rooms!

The overall experience during a business trip was excellent.

New-fashioned & well-appointed unit with balcony. A great selection of food for breakfast including breads and cereals.

Wi-Fi was pretty slow.

Had a pleasant stay on a business trip. the breakfast was satisfactory with scrambled eggs and sausages. - It was a great location next to two excellent restaurants, island and the lighthouse of Huisduinen.

Excellent staff at front desk and restaraunt/bar.

Parking is free. The lady at the reception upon our arrival was nice.

The hotel is located behind a dyke that blocks view of the sea. Only suites and the top-floor restaurant has sea view.The breakfast is not of good quality or variety, food is often not replenished after initial rush of people.The hotel rooms seem to have been renovated a couple of years ago, but the surroundings of the hotel and overall facilities were omitted. Internet did not work the first day of our stay. It does not qualify as a four-star hotel.

The newly designed rooms here are spacious and include modern amenities such as electronic key cards, work desks, and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels.

Excellent Hotel, Nice and large room, Friendly Staff

The hotel was located in a very nice, peaceful and romantic place! so much relaxing as there where not that much to do ;) the islands are also very close to see! recommneded for spring or summer because of the landscape, iselands, sea etc. The inside pool was nice too! I got many postcard pictures (including the trip to island)

There are few place around to eat, as the hotel is in the middle of no where, either come by car or only eat at the restaurant of the hotel, the only other option is a restaurant close by which needs reservation in advance. The beds matress are seperated, we requested a room with a sea view but no body informed us there is none, they were out of bike as well, please make a call in advance to make sure every thing is waiting for you as they promissed.

had an amazing overnight stay at a hotel in Huisduinen. Grand Hotel Beatrix exceeded my expectations, with friendly staff, comfortable beds, and the incredible C'est la vie restaurant on the top floor. The buffet breakfast was also outstanding. Highly recommend!

restaurant (diner) was excellent, room was comfortable (but fairly small), sauna & swimmingpool were fine (perhaps less for great sauna lovers)
